Eritrean U20 team’s victory celebrated
Tnzania U20 national team was crowned as the 2019 CECAFA U20 Boys Challenge Cup Champions after successfully beating Kenya Rising Stars 1-0 in the final played on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru Uganda.
In the early match for the third place, Eritrea beat Sudan 1-0 thanks to a solo goal by Biniam Mengsteab in the 67th minute.
Awards:
The winners were rewarded with gold medals and a glittering trophy. Kenya picked silver and Eritrea bronze.
Pius Kelvin John, the CECAFA U20 Most Valuable Player, and Top Scorer
Kenya’s goalkeeper Brian Okoth Bwire was named the best in the tournament.
