19 Nov 2018 – (EP) The leader of Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), Ayte Debretsion Gebremichael, gave an interview with local Tigray media today on a range of local and national issues.
On recent arrests by reformist Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed government against the country’s former powerful security apparatus, Debretsion said, “we do not accept the direction of Ethiopian Federal government is taking to crack down on corrupt and human rights abusers as it is aimed to “kneel down” the people of Tigray. On top of this, we believe that foreign agents [Eritrea?] have involvement in it.
The Tigrayan man pleaded, “we have forgiven ‘terrorist’ so we have to treat corrupt and human rights abusers equally.”
