New health station inaugurated in Adi-Nifas
A new health station in Adi-Nifas administrative area, Akria sub-zone, was inaugurated on 2 February and ready for providing health service.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sister Hiwet Gebrekidan, head of the Ministry of Health North-West Asmara branch, said that the newly inaugurated health station is part of the effort to provide health service to the public within five km of their residential areas.
The seven room health station is expected to provide pre and post natal treatment, vaccination service for children, health treatment for children below and over five years of age, voluntary counseling service among others.
The administrator of the subzone, Ms. Liya Bereketeab on her part said that the health station will have significant contribution in providing the public health service in their vicinity. Noting on the significance of the health station in ensuring the health of the public, Dr. Tesfai Solomon, head of the Ministry of Health branch in the Central region, called on the public to strengthen contribution for its sustainability
