Former Ethiopian Security chief has died
Getachew Assefa, the former director general of Ethiopia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency, has died.
According to sources in the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense, Getachew Assefa died of illness and his funeral was held at the Luciya.
The former Director of National Information and Intelligence Services, Getachew Assefa is reported to have died last week due to heart failure.
Former FDRE National Security Adviser and Ambassador to Israel Tsegaye Berhe has been completely wiped out with unknown number of TPLF militants by Ethiopian defense force.

One of the captives, Colonel Hadish, who had betrayed the defense, was captured along with his master. In related news, Brigadier General Abreha (Dinkul), a former deputy commander of the Central Command and General Ababaw Tadesse, along with eight colonels, was killed in a search operation.
According to defense sources, 2,700 TPLF fighters were killed and 1,750 were wounded in the air and ground attacks. In the arrival of the defense force at the scene and found 40 or 50 bodies had been buried in mass graves by the TPLF forces, 16 of whom had been beheaded. Civilians were reportedly among those beheaded.
