Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin’s wife and son appeared in court
The wife of Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin, Felegehiwot Berhe and her son Agazi Seyoum, who was arrested yesterday, have appeared in court today.
Investigating police said the two suspects were arrested after receiving orders from TPLF anti-peace groups and OLF leaders to distribute money to incite violence in Addis Ababa and recruit youths.
Investigators said the suspects were searched at a government-registered apartment building and a residence on Sun Real Estate in the name of Seyoum Mesfin.
Two pistols were found during a search of the buildings.
Investigating police also told the court that they had found electronic devices in a search of a house in Tsehai Real Estate.
Seyoum Mesfin’s wife, Felegehiwot, explained that one of the guns was used by my husband to protect himself, while the other was a gift from abroad.
Seyoum Mesfin’s wife told the court that their son, Agazi, was mentally ill and asked for medication.
The Federal Court, which heard the case, give ordered to receive the necessary medication.
Work is underway to fully launch the telecom service in Tigray region
“The case is being investigated by the police,” Ethio Telecom
Ethio Telecom CEO Frehiwot Tamiru said work is underway to fully restore the telecom service that was suspended in Tigray State.
She said the accident in the Northern Region was caused by the disruption of all alternative communication lines at the main stations in Mekele and Shire, as well as the disruption of commercial power supply.
“The case is being investigated by the police,” she said.
