Ahmed Khalid, who was supposed to board the Ethiopian plane which crashed in Addis Ababa on Sunday morning but missed it, recalled the moment he found out about the crash.

Ahmed Khalid missed his flight to Nairobi, after his connecting flight from Dubai to Addis Ababa was delayed.

His comments came as others waited outside the airport in Addis Ababa and in Nairobi for news about their relatives who were on board, including Robert Mutanda, who was waiting for his brother-in-law who is a Canadian citizen.

There were 157 people on board the flight, all of whom died in the crash.
