Eritrean and Ethiopian military officials met at Zalambesa border
10 Sep 2018 – The clearing of land mines started today near the Eritrea-Ethiopia border in Zalambesa.
The coordinated effort to clear land mines from Zalambesa road is staged by Eritrean and Ethiopian armies (pictured).
In Massawa, Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed had told reporters that the Zalambesa road would be cleared soon to allow passage between the two countries.(EP)

10 Sep 2018 – (EP) In the speech at Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed said today that Eritrean and Ethiopian armies are celebrating the Geez New Year together after 20 years.
Wearing the Dolce Vita Eritrea’s famous peace and friendship butterfly Eri-Ethio flag wings (pictured), Dr. Abiy passed Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki’s happy new year wish to the people of Ethiopia.
Today at the Zalambesa border, the two countries army officials were seen discussing the opening of physical barriers at the border.
